My name’s Nancy. I’m 11 years old. I’m studying English at Flamingo language school on Phan Van Tri street. Today I’m glad to tell you about the Halloween party at my school.
There were some different areas in the school for students from 5 to 14 to play at. One area was called Snow Storm. We could play with flour. In this game, we passed a little plate of flour over our heads to the others in the line. We had a lot of fun with this game. At the end of the round, all of us were covered with flour that made us all white, from head to toe.
The other area was named Goul Collecting. In this game, we took turns to get small balls from a basket and put them into another. The hardest part of this game was that we had to use our mouths to take the balls from the basket. It was one of the most challenging games to me.
Children of our ages love playing with balloons and the next game really attracted us. This game was called Huge Pumpkin Balloons. In this game, we had to sit on the balloons attached to the chairs. The sound of the balloon’s explosion startled and scared us somehow. It was especially thrilling to younger students.
The Haunted House was the area I was scared of the most. It was surrounded by gravestones and was home to 999 ghosts. In the center of the area, there was a frightening ‘coffin’ which had a ‘dead body’ (not a real one, of course) inside. At some time, it really scared us to death!!!
After the games, the party started and we could enjoy many different types of food and drinks. We could eat and drink until we were stuffed like sausages at the market.
Last but not least, at the end of the party when we were going to say goodbye, each of us was given with a pumpkin-shaped packet of cookies and candy to bring home.
We had a great time at the Halloween party. When I arrived home, I felt tired but very happy because the party was full of fun. I can’t wait to to join the same one next year!
