I am a student at Flamingo Language Institute. I would like to tell everyone a few things about Tet holiday. I would also like to express my feelings about the Tet festival at my lovely language school.
I like Tet very much. Tet is a good time for family reunion, giving us very different emotions. Tet, as known as Lunar New Year holiday, is one of the most important festivals in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for all students at Flamingo Language Institute to enjoy a happy and relaxing time with their family and friends. This is also an opportunity for everyone to return home and spend time with their families.
At the end of the year, everyone is very busy with their work. So was I with my study! There are many lessons I need to learn. The teachers at my school tried to help me review during this busy time. I was taught about the traditional culture of Tet in Vietnam. I helped my teachers decorate my class with flowers such as kumquat tree or peach blossoms. My teachers taught me how to express New Year wishes to my family in English, which is a very interesting part of the final lesson.
On the 3 important days of Tet, I could express those New Year wishes to my grandparents, my parents, my uncle and my aunt. I wished them all the best for the new year to come. I received lots of red envelopes with stickers from my teachers, which was an exciting moment of my life. After all, Tet is the time for people to be good to each other, to enjoy the precious moments, and to wish for the best to come. I wish that Tet could last for a month.
In general, I love Tet very much, this occasion makes me feel the warmth of my family being together because Tet is not simply a festival, it carries the sacred meaning of the Vietnamese culture.
